The Brazilian Confederation of Underwater Sports (CBES) has announced on its official Instagram account that Rio de Janeiro has been officially confirmed as the host city for the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) Pan American Championships for Freediving and Finswimming, to be held in the second half of 2027.<\/p>\n

This announcement represents an unprecedented milestone for the sport on the continent, marking the first time Brazil will host a Pan American Championship that brings together these disciplines in a large-scale continental event.<\/p>\n

The selection of Rio de Janeiro, a city recognized worldwide for its sporting tradition and for hosting some of the biggest international events in history, reaffirms the international sports community’s confidence in Brazil’s ability to organize high-level technical and institutional competitions.<\/p>\n
