{"id":32730,"date":"2022-03-06T05:51:06","date_gmt":"2022-03-06T09:51:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sportalsub.net\/en\/?p=32730"},"modified":"2022-03-06T07:06:42","modified_gmt":"2022-03-06T11:06:42","slug":"aida-about-ukraine-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sportalsub.net\/en\/aida-about-ukraine-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"\ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\udde6 AIDA International supports AIDA Ukraine and voting about Russia and Belarus membership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-32731\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sportalsub.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/aida-rusia-ucrania.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sportalsub.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/aida-rusia-ucrania.jpg 900w, https:\/\/www.sportalsub.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/aida-rusia-ucrania-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.sportalsub.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/aida-rusia-ucrania-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.sportalsub.net\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/aida-rusia-ucrania-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>(Sportalsub.net \/ AIDA International) \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportalsub.net\/blog\/aida-about-ukraine-2022\/\">Leer en Espa\u00f1ol<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The International Association for the Development of Apnea (AIDA) communicates its support to the freediving community affiliated to this organization in Ukraine and will decide by vote on the membership of its affiliates from Russia and Belarus, after the start of military actions carried out by Russia on Ukrainian territory since the end of February 2022.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"site-news__header\">\n<h4 class=\"site-news__title title-set\">AIDA Stands with Ukraine<\/h4>\n<p class=\"site-news__meta\">Published: 02\/03\/2022<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"site-news__visual\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aida-assembly.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com\/docs\/8711f780-d39c-4c96-9d12-cc4cd2ef622c.png\" alt=\"220302_AIDA Ukraine Banner.png\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"site-news__content formatted\">\n<p><strong>AIDA Provides Support to AIDA Ukraine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"&#96;&#96;MsoNormal&#96;&#96;\">In response to recent events taking place in Ukraine, AIDA is extending its support to impacted instructors, athletes, and judges.<\/p>\n<p>AIDA will provide the following to support AIDA Ukraine:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"&#96;&#96;disc&#96;&#96;\">\n<li class=\"&#96;&#96;MsoNormal&#96;&#96;\">one year of free renewal for AIDA Ukraine<\/li>\n<li class=\"&#96;&#96;MsoNormal&#96;&#96;\">one year of free renewal for instructors and one grace year (2022 to be excluded from the period they must teach a minimum number of students)<\/li>\n<li class=\"&#96;&#96;MsoNormal&#96;&#96;\">one grace year for the judges (2022 to be excluded from two years periods when they must judge competitions)<\/li>\n<li class=\"&#96;&#96;MsoNormal&#96;&#96;\">free certifications for a period of 12 months as soon as they can re-start teaching<\/li>\n<li class=\"&#96;&#96;MsoNormal&#96;&#96;\">cancel competition fee 2 EUR per start as soon as they can organize competitions (every first competition in every region).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"&#96;&#96;MsoNormal&#96;&#96;\">The safety and well-being of our fellow freedivers are of great importance to AIDA. Our thoughts go out to the people of Ukraine, and we hope for a swift end to this conflict.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"&#96;&#96;MsoNormal&#96;&#96;\"><strong><span lang=\"&#96;&#96;EN-GB&#96;&#96;\">AIDA Assembly Vote on Russian and Belarusian Athlete Participation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"&#96;&#96;MsoNormal&#96;&#96;\"><span lang=\"&#96;&#96;EN-GB&#96;&#96;\">AIDA joins the\u00a0International Olympic Committee (IOC)\u00a0in condemning the actions taken by the governments in Russia and Belarus against Ukraine. We do not want to dismiss athletes for the decisions of their respective governments, however, in such circumstances, we cannot do nothing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"&#96;&#96;MsoNormal&#96;&#96;\">The following recommendations were presented by the IOC Executive Board:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>Para proteger la integridad de las competiciones deportivas mundiales y para la seguridad de todos los participantes, el Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo del COI recomienda que las federaciones deportivas internacionales y los organizadores de eventos deportivos no inviten ni permitan la participaci\u00f3n de atletas y oficiales rusos y bielorrusos en competiciones internacionales.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Siempre que esto no sea posible con poca antelaci\u00f3n por motivos organizativos o legales, el Comit\u00e9 Ejecutivo del COI insta encarecidamente a las Federaciones Deportivas Internacionales y a los organizadores de eventos deportivos de todo el mundo a hacer todo lo que est\u00e9 a su alcance para garantizar que ning\u00fan atleta u oficial deportivo de Rusia o Bielorrusia pueda tomar parte bajo el nombre de Rusia o Bielorrusia. Los ciudadanos rusos o bielorrusos, ya sea individualmente o en equipos, deben ser aceptados solo como atletas neutrales o equipos neutrales.
