The Nirvana Oceanquest is an international freediving contest that will gather freedivers from all over the world around a unique spot: Nirvana sea Cliff off the coast of San Andres island, Colombia. Over 6 competition days, athletes will get the opportunity to attempt personal, national or world records in a friendly atmosphere. This is a perfect place for sharing nice and intense moments in the water, learn and practice, as well as enjoying the beauty of this tropical island. June 6-12 2015<\/p>\n

Results Day 1 – Saturday June 6th<\/strong><\/p>\n

This Saturday was the initiation of the first version of the Nirvana Oceanquest in the crystal clear waters of San Andres, with the participation of 11 athletes, among 14 registered ones. The logistic is working well, in coordination with the support of Blue Life, and the safety team leaded by Marco Cosentino and the other safeties: Andres Vanegas, Jaime Moreno and Carlos Ancalmo.<\/p>\n

First national record for Colombia and San Andres on this first competition day, with 57m, achieved by Jorge Ernan Palacio, from the island and former InnerSea student, who showed a great potential in the most exigent discipline of freediving, constant weight without fins.<\/p>\n

Ricardo Montans from Argentina, easily achieved 50m in free immersion and showed the tag with a big smile to the judges. While Alejandro Andres, from the same country, did 65m. Showing great potential, Camila Jaber from Mexico retrieved the tag at a depth of 61m in the same discipline and it’s just a beginning! Simon went to 70m representing Chile and Adam Stern from Australia completed an easy 80m dive\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
