This Friday, July 20, 2018 the Italian freediver Alessia Zecchini implanted a new world record of freediving in the modality of free inmersion, when descending to -93 meters of depth on the 4th day of the International Competition of Vertical Apnea Blue 2018 It takes place at the Dean’s Blue Hole on Long Island in the Bahamas.

The Italian, who took 3 minutes and 40 seconds of total immersion time exceeded the -92 meters mark of the Dutch Jeanine Grasmeijer, made on September 6, 2016.
