The FISU World University Championship Finswimming will take place in Sharm El Sheikh. But due to the growing security concerns in the Middle East region, after careful monitoring, assessments and consideration, and in close cooperation with the Organising Committee, FISU has regrettably decided to postpone the Sharm El-Sheikh 2026 FISU World University Championship Finswimming until further notice.

The International University Sports Federation (FISU) announce that the World University Championship Finswimming will take place in Sharm El Sheikh from 10 to 11 April 2026.

Organised by the Egyptian University Sports Federation and the Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Federation in cooperation with FISU, the event will bring together student-athletes from many countries for a week of sport, commitment, and international exchange.
